Valuation Ready app — support

The app is not yet released. This page describes it in advance so the store listing has a support and privacy address; nothing below applies until it is available to download.

This page is support for the Valuation Ready app for iOS and Android. For the valuation service itself, see contact us.

Email hello@valuationready.com.au and we will reply. There is no ticket system and no chatbot — a person reads it.

When you write, it helps to say which phone you are using and what you were doing when the problem happened. Please do not attach the photographs unless we ask: they are your evidence, and we would rather you kept them.

What the app is for
#

It helps you photograph a property and keep the result as an organised record — for a capital gains tax cost base, an SMSF annual valuation, a deceased estate, or your own files. It guides you through which photographs to take, records what each one is, and writes the whole set into a folder you keep.

The app is free.

The app sends nothing anywhere
#

There is no account, no sign-in, no server, and no analytics. Everything stays in the app’s private storage on your device until you move it yourself. That is a deliberate design, not a limitation we plan to remove quietly — see app privacy for the detail.

It also means we cannot see your records, so we cannot recover them for you. Which leads to the most important thing on this page.

If you are worried about losing your photographs
#

Export the folder and keep a copy somewhere else. The app writes your record to a folder you choose; once it is out of the app, back it up the way you back up anything else that matters.

Because nothing is sent to us, we hold no copy. If you delete the app before exporting, or lose the device, the record is gone and nobody can retrieve it — not us, not Apple, not Google.

Common problems
#

The camera will not open. The app needs camera permission. iOS: Settings → Valuation Ready → Camera. Android: Settings → Apps → Valuation Ready → Permissions → Camera.

The export said some files could not be copied. Some destinations a phone offers cannot actually be written to by an app — cloud folders in particular. Choose a folder in your device’s own storage first, then move or upload it from there.

A photograph is in the wrong place, or the record looks incomplete. Photographs can be removed and retaken before you export. If the app reports that it could not read its own index, do not delete anything — email us and we will tell you what to check.

Something else. Email hello@valuationready.com.au.

Privacy, and asking what we hold
#

The app collects nothing, so ordinarily there is nothing of yours for us to hold. If you have emailed us, that email is covered by our privacy policy, which also explains how to ask what we hold about you or to have it corrected or deleted.
